Edin Urjan Kukavica (Sarajevo, 1967) is a writer with three published novels: Prvorođeni Dun'ja , Beš i Vjernik , author of eight books in the field of history, Islamic philosophy and spirituality, including: Bajramijye‑melamijye – Hamzevijye , Anthropology of Tasawwuf – Tasawwuf from the Inside , Anthropology of Futuwvet – Futuwvet from the Inside , Historical Travelogue through Bosnia and Herzegovina , Islam in the Balkans , Anatomy of Worship – Worship in Sharia, Tariqa and Haqiqat , and three books of political science and sociological essays: Kamo dalje, ruđače , Phantom of Freedom and Manual for (r)evolution . He is the translator of twelve published translation of books in the field of Islamic spirituality and beautiful literature, editor of several magazines, proceedings of scientific meetings and books, columnist and publicist with over 800 published texts. The central areas of his interest are philosophy, spirituality, history and political theory, and especially issues of freedom and ethics in all the aforementioned areas. He is an active social and cultural worker and an observer and critic of the contemporary reality of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is a doctor of educational sciences (PF UNSA) and a doctoral student at FPN UNSA.
