Vesko Kadić was born in 1945 in Ostrošac (Herzegovina). He attended high school and He graduated from the Higher Pedagogical School (fine arts) in Sarajevo, and the Academy for theater, film and television (film editing department) in Zagreb. Before will be employed at TV Sarajevo, he successfully worked at the Kino Club "Sarajevo" amateur film (candidate for Master of amateur film). For professional cinematography, he has made three experimental feature films. For his he wrote film scripts. He worked at TV Sarajevo as an editor and director, and at FTV BiH, he was the editor of the film and then the drama program. He was the first Director of the BiH Film Archive (1994–2002).
