Emina Žuna was born in 1981 in Jajce. She graduated in psychology and comparative literature and library science from the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo. She completed a master's degree in European Literary Cultures at the Université de Strasbourg/Università di Bologna, as well as training in cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy (CBT), which she practices professionally.

She is the author of one novel, dozens of short stories and several drama texts. Her novel Linija života (Planjax, 2016) won the Foundation Award for Publishing and was nominated for the "Meša Selimović" and "Mirko Kovač" awards. She publishes short stories in all relevant literary magazines in the region (Polja, Fantom slobode, Sarajevske sveske, Zarez, Poeteka, etc.), and for them she received the "Zija Dizdarevića" and a number of other awards. She has written several drama texts performed as radio plays. She has written for various Bosnian media, most often columns, comments and literary reviews.
