Zoran Žmirić was born in Rijeka in 1969. He is a member of the Croatian Society of Writers, translated into English, Italian, Polish, Slovenian and Ukrainian. So far he has published: Theater of Shadows (Adamić, 2002), Time that were eaten by Pac-Man (Meandar, 2005), Blockbuster (VBZ, 2009, AdPublik 2012, Brambles / Amazon, 2015, Fabula 2018), Rijeka rock hymns (KUD Baklje, 2011), Snoputnik (Croatia society of writers, 2014), Written with a bullet (Studio TiM, 2015), Journey through the right hemisphere (Hena com, 2017), Patient from room 19 (Hena com, 2018).

 

He is the winner of numerous awards and recognitions: finalist of the VBZ award for the best unpublished manuscript – Blockbuster (2009), finalist of the tportal literary award for the best novel – Blockbuster (2010), winner of the "Literary Pen" award of the Croatian Literary Society for the book of the year – Blockbuster (2010), winner of the Annual Award of the City of Rijeka for creative work and special achievements in culture (2011), finalist of the VBZ award for the best unpublished manuscript - Journey by the right hemisphere (2014), winner of the super short contest the story of CeKaPe (2013), finalist of the International competition "Vranac" for the best short story of the literary festival Odakle zovem (2016).
