Daria Žilić was born in 1972 in Zagreb. Graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb is history and comparative literature. She published 12 poetry, prose and essay books. She is the winner of the "Julije Benešić" Award for literary criticism (for the book Muse outside the ghetto as the best literary-critical achievement in 2010. 2010), the "Cyclops" Award for the poetry collection in 2010 (for the collection "Dance, Modesty, dance") and the "Orpheus" Award for overall poetic performance which is awarded at the International Poetry Festival in Plovdiv (Bulgaria).
