Xinran Xue is a journalist in China known for her radio shows. She was born in Beijing in 1958. She has a teenage son, and she divorced his father – as she said in an interview – because he did not believe that women were as valuable as men. Moving to London in 1997 was her first trip to the West. She initially worked in various jobs, and now teaches at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
