Dimitri Verhulst (Aalst, 1972) is a Belgian writer and one of the most important Flemish voices of today. He made his debut in 1999 with the collection of stories Neighbor room , and gained international fame with the novels Problem Hotel and Regret things, translated into twenty-five languages, and according to which in 2009 made a film of the same name shown at festivals around the world. It's Verhulst winner of many literary awards.
