Ilija Trojanow, writer, translator and publisher, was born 1965 in Sofia. For a time he lived in Germany, where his family is fleeing from the Bulgarian communist regime, she received political asylum, then in Kenya, India and South Africa. He has published several novels and collections of prose, and several books of essays, the most famous of which are "Attack on freedom" with Juli Zeh, and "Rejection of conflict" with Ranjit Hoskote. World fame he earned the multiple award-winning novel "The Collector of Worlds", which is translated into more than twenty world languages.
