Olga Tokarczuk (Sulechòw, 1962) is a Polish writer, screenwriter, psychologist, university professor and social activist. She made her debut in 1979. in the magazine Na przelaj , where she published under the pseudonym Natasza Borodin the first stories. For the novel Bjeguni in 2008, she won the Nike Award, the biggest the Polish literary award, and ten years later the Man Booker Prize International. She is the author of eight novels and two books of stories, and her works are translated into over thirty languages. Olga Tokarczuk is a Nobel laureate literary awards for 2018.
