Farah Tahirbegović (1973–2006) was a Bosnian-Herzegovinian literary critic and writer. She was born in Sarajevo and grew up in Zenica, where she completed elementary, secondary and music school. She interrupted her studies of comparative literature and library science at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo due to the war and went to Slovenia. In Ljubljana, she "became involved in the work of the Literary Workshop of the Cultural Weekend for Children from Bosnia and Herzegovina in Vodnikova Domačija, where, not long after, she became a soloist in the orchestra, and then began training young accordionists".* She published her first works in publications of the Cultural Weekend and in the Ljubljana magazine Izbjeglice za zbjeglice (IZI) . Together with the editor of IZI, Zoran Mutić, she edited the children's magazine Planinček. Her first book , Pismo roditeli, was first published in 1993 in the "egzil-abc" library of the Cultural Weekend , which was started and edited by Josip Osti . Two years later, she initiated the founding of the music group Dertum, with which she released the albums Vezak vezla and Dertum . After the war, she returned to Bosnia and Herzegovina and completed her studies. She worked for the magazine Lica and at the MESS festival, participated in the organization of the PEN Center BiH conferences and the Sarajevo activities of the Slovenian theater festival EX PONTO. She was the editor of the online magazine podroom.ba and the secretary of the Association of Literary Creators, Publishers and Booksellers LIK BiH. With Damir Imamović, she prepared a monograph about Zaim Imamović, The Song of My Heart . With producer Srđan Babić, she produced the series Stories with a Speech Impairment on Student Radio eFM. As the executive editor of the publishing house Buybook, she edited dozens of books and launched a series of new libraries. Don't Go, Honey, Come Out in the Library Named After Her.
