Guido Snel (Amstelveen, 1972) is a contemporary Dutch writer, translator and professor of European culture and literature at the University of Amsterdam. At the center of his interest are art and literature created during the war in BiH, trauma and losses after the war, but also multilingualism and cultural diversity. He published several novels, as well as travelogues and essays. He translated into Dutch the works of many prominent authors from the South Slavic speaking area, such as Miloš Crnjanski, Daša Drndić, Miroslav Krleža and Semezdin Mehmedinović.
