Goce Smilevski was born in 1975 in Skopje, Macedonia. He studied at the universities of Skopje, Prague and Budapest. He is the author of several novels: Planet of Inexperience , Conversation with Spinoza and Sigmund Freud's Sister . For his novel Sigmund Freud's Sister , which has been published in more than thirty languages, he received the Central European Initiative Award for the best European writer under 35 and the European Union Prize for Literature – EUPL 2010.
