Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, born in 1960 in Lyon, is a French playwright, writer, essayist and director. One of the most productive authors of our time, Schmitt definitely belongs to the ranks of indispensable, most widely read and most present contemporary Francophone authors. His works have been translated into fifty languages, and his plays have been performed in more than fifty countries. The cycle of the Invisible , which includes four stories about childhood and spirituality, which are experiencing great success both in bookstores and on stage: Milarepa (1997), Lord Ibrahim and the Flowers of the Qur'an (2001), Oscar and the Lady in Pink (2002) and Noah's Child (2004).
