Saša Savić was born in Tuzla in 1967. He grew up and lived in Sarajevo until he was twenty-five. He is one of the founders of the Youth Program of Radio Sarajevo, which was broadcast in Bosnia and the former Yugoslavia for several years before the war. The war found him in Slovenia, from where he left for Prague. For the last twenty-five years, he has lived in New York, where he has led some of the largest American advertising agencies. In the past five years, he has been named Manager of the Year in the US advertising industry twice. He is an avid fisherman, beekeeper and philanthropist. The Fourth Violin is his first book.
