Marko Pogačar was born in 1984 in Split. He published fifteen books of poetry, prose and essays. He prepared the anthology Croatian young lyrics in 2014 . and The edge of a page: young poetry in Croatia (2019). He was an editor in Zarez and Quorum, now he co-edits the Kritika-HDP portal. He was a scholarship recipient of numerous foundations, among others Civitella Ranieri, Passa Porta, Milo Dor, Literarische Colloquium Berlin, Literaturhaus NÖ, Récollets-Paris, Landis & Gyr, DAAD Berliner Künstlerprogramm, etc. He is the president of Goran's Spring. He has been awarded Croatian and international prizes for poetry, prose and essay writing. His books have been translated into a dozen, and his texts into more than thirty languages.
