Kristian Novak was born on May 14, 1979. in Baden-Baden, in the former Federal Republic of Germany. He attended elementary school in St. Martin na Mura, and the general gymnasium in Čakovec. In 1998, he entered the graduate program double-subject study of Croatian language and literature and German language i of literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. He graduated in 2005 defending the paper entitled "German-Croatian code-switching in the drama 'God Glembayjevi' by Miroslav Krleža".

He started studying literature in high school school. His youthful poetry was published, among other things, in the Anthology Međimurje young lyrics (2011).

In 2005, he published the novel "Hanged", published by the Insula Library, which with the support of the City Čakovec brings together quality authors from Međimurje. In 2013, he published a novel "Black mother earth", in the KaLibar library of Zagreb's Algoritm, a In 2016, the novel "Gypsy, but the most beautiful" was published by Naklada OceanMore.
