Kristian Novak was born on May 14, 1979.
in Baden-Baden, in the former Federal Republic of Germany. He attended elementary school in St.
Martin na Mura, and the general gymnasium in Čakovec. In 1998, he entered the graduate program
double-subject study of Croatian language and literature and German language i
of literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. He graduated in 2005
defending the paper entitled "German-Croatian code-switching in the drama 'God
Glembayjevi' by Miroslav Krleža".
