Alen Mešković (Derventa, 1977) has lived in Denmark since 1994. He made his debut with a collection of poems, Prvi povratak (First Return) (2009). For his first novel, Ukulele Jam (2011), which was published in eight countries and adapted into a play in Germany, he received a three-year grant from the Danish National Fund for the Arts. Published in 2016, A Tent for One Person is a standalone sequel to Ukulele Jam .
