Abdelwahab Meddeb (born 1946) is a writer, poet, professor of comparative literature at L'université Paris-X and producer of the Culture of Islam program at France-Culture.
He is the author of L'Exil occidental (2005), Contre-prêches (2007), Sortir de la malédiction . L'islam entre civilization et barbarie (2008), Pari de civilization (2009), and Les femmes, l'amour et le sacré (2010).
The winner of the Prix international de littérature francophone Benjamin Fondane.
