Jamaluddin Latić was born in 1957 in Pridvorci near Gornji Vakuf. The poet is playwright and prose writer, essayist, translator and university professor. For numerous books of poetry, he was awarded, among others, the "Slovo Gorčina" awards, "Skender Kulenović", the award of the Writers' Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Poetry Award "Necip Fazil" in Turkey. Collection of short stories "The face of the same woman" will be the fourth of a total of 12 books that will be published by him as part of the selected works to be published in Turkey. According to his poem "Srebrenica Inferno" maestro Đelo Jusić wrote the music for the eponymous film oratorio, which is performed every year on July 11th to commemorate the genocide against Bosniaks. In 1983, in a staged political trial before the Court in Sarajevo, he was sentenced to six and a half years in prison for his words and thoughts. He was acquitted In 1986, thanks to the intervention of the International PEN Center and an appeal Predrag Matvejević and Danilo Kiš.
