Midhad Kurtović was born in 1972 (Hum, Foča). Since 1973 he has lived in Sarajevo, where he completed primary and secondary school. He graduated in Comparative Literature and Library Science in 2000 from the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo. At the same faculty, in 2013, he received a master's degree in literary and historical sciences. Since 2001, he has worked at the Public Institution Library of Sarajevo in various library jobs. He was the editor-in-chief of the youth magazine Urban Bug. He published short stories, professional works in the field of library science and literature, newspaper columns and articles in Sarajevo magazines. As part of the project ''Guide to Sarajevo'', he participated in the Biennial of Young Artists of Europe and the Mediterranean in Rome in 1999.
