Larissa Kasumagić-Kafedžić is a long-time activist in the field of peace education and education, philosophy of non-violence and intercultural education. She was educated at Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, where she obtained her degree in 2001 professor of English language and literature. At Cornell University in She received her master's degree in the USA in 2005 in the field of pedagogical sciences and in international development. She received her doctorate in pedagogical sciences from to the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo in 2014, doing research intercultural dimension of English language teaching. She is the author of several professional and scientific articles in the field of peace and intercultural pedagogy, as well as in the field of English language teaching methods. In the summer semester of 2016, she was Visiting Lecturer at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. Currently works at the Department of English Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo methodological group of subjects in the teaching field.
