Gill Hornby (Yorkshire, 1959) is a British journalist and writer. She is the author of several novels, the most significant of which are historical novels in which Hornby combines facts and imagination to skillfully describe the lives of colorful characters, such as the novels Miss Austen and Godmersham Park . He lives in Kintbury, England with his wife and four children.
