Gojko Berić was born in 1939 in Donji Vrbljani. He grew up in Mostar, where he graduated from junior high school and the Mechanical Engineering College. As a high school student, he started working in journalism. He started his career in 1962 in Sloboda from Mostar. He was a correspondent for Oslobođenja from Mostar and Dubrovnik, and then a columnist for this newspaper for several years. So far, he has published: Death in Summer Dubrovnik , Sarajevo at the End of the World , Letters to the Heavenly People , Haag Station , Animals Together , Goodbye XX Century - Conversations with Ivo Vejvod , What is Life Without Enemies . He lives and works in Sarajevo.
