Magdalena Blažević (1982) was born and raised in Žepč, lives and works in Mostar. She graduated in Croatian and English language and literature. Short stories were published in numerous literary magazines, and were translated into English, Macedonian and Russian language. She is the winner of several short story awards. The first one the book, a collection of Svetkovina stories, was published in 2020 and entered the finals of the Fritz literary award. In addition, the title story is translated into English language has been shortlisted for the 2020 American Adelaide Prize.
