We are pleased to invite you to the promotion of the book "Bejturan and the Rose" by Aleksandar Hemon , which will be held on Wednesday, June 19 , starting at 8:00 PM at the Figure Studio in Sarajevo (Danijela Ozme Street 12). Entrance will be open from 7:30 PM.
"Bejturan and the Rose" is a powerful, moving and comprehensive story that represents the pinnacle of Hemon's storytelling talent. The plot of the novel begins in Sarajevo in 1914, and then stretches across decades and continents, masterfully depicting the lives of heroes through a century of turbulent history, the fall of great empires, wars, famous cities, indelible loves, unbearable losses, dreams, songs and delusions.
In an interesting cross-genre collaboration, the conversation with the author will be led by Damir Imamović , a prominent sevdah artist. Along with the discussion about the book, several musical tracks from Imamović's album inspired by this very novel will be performed.
