Goran Sarić (Konjic, 1959) poet, prose writer and translator. Published several books of poetry and prose, including the following: Forward to the Stone Age (poetry), Ruka iz srannoj Niotkud (poetry), Ikar, the hen in love with the sky (selected poems), Crna marica (stories), Rahat u Dokum (travel books), Beautifully up to the classics of Marxism (anti-war diary), Three Hefts to Heaven (sick records), Jesus on the doorstep (stories)... In addition, he translated more than twenty works into our language Dutch literature. Among them are the works of Annie MG Schmidt, Geert Mak, Kader Abdoloh, Arnon Grunberg, Anna Enqvist, Abdelkader Benali... Award-winning. Included in several selections of contemporary Bosnian prose and poetry and a selection of contemporary BiH. poetry in the Danish language. He is a member of PEN Center BiH. Lives and works in the Netherlands.

“The entire poetics of this collection can be explained through the title phrase of the first poem: 'Iron Giggle'. The lyrical subject collects memories by looking at the shelves of books and photographs. The room begins to be filled with sounds, they are that giggle. At the same time, it is both endearing and eerie, because we love memories, but not the moving among them. At the same time, 'Iron Giggle' is an allusion to the title phrase of Hamza Hume's novel Grozdana's Giggle . In contrast to that title, which is the giggle of the joy of life, of eros, this iron one is the giggle of death, of thanatos. And that is the bipolarity through whose antithesis the entire collection is conceived.”
