Dragan Lazukić (1965) rođen je u Doboju, gdje je maturirao na klasičnoj gimnaziji u posljednjoj generaciji prije Šuvarovog „usmjeravanja“ obrazovanja. Diplomirao je na Ekonomskom fakultetu u Sarajevu. Nakon izbijanja rata u Bosni i Hercegovini, krenuo je na Zapad, pa zalutao i završio u Pragu. Danas, kada se vraća s putovanja u Prag, vraća se „kući“. Ostvario je uspješnu karijeru u oblasti međunarodnih finansija. Imaš cigaru, jarane? je njegov prvi roman. Ne i posljednji, nada se.
