Guzelj Jahina ruska je
književnica i scenaristica tatarskih korijena. Njen debitantski roman Zulejha otvara oči, temeljen na iskustvu
njene bake, postigao je veliki uspjeh. Preveden je na više od trideset jezika,
a snimljena je i istoimena TV serija. Osvojio je važne književne nagrade među
kojima su Velika knjiga i Jasna Poljana.
Na Međunarodnom sajmu knjiga u Moskvi proglašen je najboljim proznim djelom.
Bio je u finalu za nagradu Ruski Booker i u najužem izboru za nagradu EBRD. Ešalon za Samarkand njen je posljednji
